Message from the Board of Directors
When the time arrives for you to consider hospice service for a family member, loved one or friend, you may not know that there are normally several providers available from which to choose. You may also not be aware that all hospice providers are not the same. While it may not be fully explained at the time, patients and their families do have a choice of which provider they prefer to use and they do have the right to make their wishes known and followed.
For over 35 years, Chattahoochee Hospice has been dedicated to providing the highest level of patient and family care without regard to race, religion, national origin or ability to pay. Today that commitment remains at the forefront of our daily operations and is carried out by a professional team of highly trained, caring individuals who are your friends and neighbors. These are team members who understand the unique needs and circumstances of each family we serve.
Chattahoochee Hospice is the only hospice organization operating in our area that is chartered and run as a non-profit service. What does that mean to our patients and families? It means that all of our resources and dollars go toward providing services at the bedside. We are not concerned about trying to make money to return to shareholders located out of our community. Chattahoochee Hospice is focused totally on our patients and their families.
As a local not-for-profit hospice organization, not only are we able to devote all of our resources to patient/family care, but it also means we are locally operated. Our governing board of directors is comprised of local people; your friends and neighbors who know this area, know the people and are available to address changing conditions or needs quickly.
Yes, hospice organizations are not the same but you do have a choice and your choice must be respected even if your doctor or hospital is located in another community.
Please consider the advantages offered by Chattahoochee Hospice and please help us spread the unique Chattahoochee Hospice story that has been a part of the medical history of our area since 1983.
