Volunteers - Helping Patients and Their Families
In keeping with Chattahoochee Hospice's goal to make sure patients can live their lives to the fullest and with dignity, our volunteers provide a variety of services to enhance the quality of our patients' lives. Our carefully screened, well-trained volunteers help support you and your family between visits by other Chattahoochee Hospice team members. While volunteers do not provide physical care for patients they offer vital support that includes:

Our carefully screened, well-trained volunteers help support you and your family between visits by other Chattahoochee Hospice team members. While volunteers do not provide physical care for patients they offer vital support that includes:
- Companionship for the patient and relief care for the caregiver
- Emotional support to both patient and family
- Help with errands, shopping, correspondence and phone calls
- Light chores such as meal/snack preparation and feeding patient
- Participate in patient's activities such as reading, playing games, crafts, watching TV or discussing current events
- Patient's life review
- Attending the patient's final hours as a supportive presence for the patient and family
